Rihanna Tweets on Chris Brown Break Up
Amid another round of breaking up, Rihanna and Chris Brown found new common ground. Taking to social media early Tuesday (May 7), Rih Rih actually agreed with Brown's sentiments from earlier this month, when he said certain kinds of love is not for the young.
"Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain't for kidz #butimsleeptho," she tweeted.
Two hours later, her former flame spilled a few of his own thoughts in 140-characters or less, offering a direct nod to her catalogue: "Sometimes loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life!"
Though the "Nobody's Business" duo seem in sync on their Twiiter timelines, the two recently stopped following each other. But the media has been following closely.
Over the weekend, Brown called into Australian radio's Kyle & Jackie O show and talked about the reasoning behind the couple's latest off-again status. In a nutshell, the 24-year-old said that he's too young to be "wife-ing up" somebody.
"At the end of the day she [Rihanna's] a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young…and I'm young too, so I can't focus on that right now," he said. "I just gotta step forward and be a man, and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket."
That's sage advice considering Rihanna's been mostly silent on the relationship as of late. Instead, she's focused on her Diamonds World Tour, which made its way back to Boston last night (the original show was cancelled due to her laryngitis). Unfortunately, however, by the time the "We All Want Love" singer arrived, it wasn't a warm welcome. The crowd was angry with the 25-year-old for showing up three hours late, playing for only an hour and "lip synching the whole time," according to one audience member's tweet.
